(Children’s Recreation, Education, Arts, and Therapeutic Experience)
Our after-school team brings the fun, the heart, and the healing through CREATE - a vibrant, therapeutic program designed to support kids in a safe, playful, and empowering environment.
Our mission? To spark curiosity, build skills, and nurture positive social growth, all while helping children shine in school and thrive emotionally. Through interactive activities like mindfulness moments, team-building games, creative outdoor adventures, and group-based fun, we focus on the whole child: body, mind, and spirit.
Each activity is tailored to meet kids where they are, based on assessments and thoughtful planning. For children who need a little extra support, personalized behavior plans ensure they feel seen, supported, and set up for success.
But it’s not just about the kids, we love when parents and caregivers join the journey! From Parent Education Classes to evening events and one-on-one connection time with staff, families are encouraged to dive into their child’s growth and development every step of the way.

Our Programs
CREATE is committed to supporting children’s academic success. Homework assistance is offered to all in care, and individual tutoring is available when needed. Parents are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completion of their child’s homework. Our team works closely with children during dedicated homework time, helping them stay focused, build confidence, and develop strong study habits that carry into the classroom.
Field trips are an essential part of our program as they help to tickle our children’s imaginations and broaden their horizons. Parents will receive advance notice of all planned field trips, and written permission from a parent or guardian is required for participation. Verbal consent cannot be accepted. These experiences are thoughtfully chosen to complement our curriculum and enrich each child’s learning journey.
Kids explore creativity through art projects, discover the stage with our local performing arts theater partnership, and dive into STEAM challenges that spark curiosity. Special visits from local sports figures inspire teamwork, confidence, and healthy fun. With hands-on learning, community connections, and plenty of laughter, we create a safe, supportive space where every child can shine. After school isn’t just downtime—it’s the best time to explore, create, and grow!
Executive functions are the mental skills we use to set goals and complete tasks, including working memory, cognitive flexibility, and inhibitory control. These skills begin developing in infancy and continue to grow over time, but can be disrupted by trauma or challenging life circumstances. We’ve found that children of all ages may struggle with executive function when facing these obstacles. Our program helps children build these essential skills while supporting healing and emotional growth.
