Learning about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s Legacy
Today in class, we learned about Martin Luther King Jr., a man whose dream changed the world.

Our teacher showed us a white egg and a brown egg and explained that, on the inside, they are exactly the same, just like all people, no matter the color of their skin.

One student asked, “Why does it matter? We should all be friends with each other,” which reminded us that equality starts with how we treat each other every day. Another student said, “Dr. King had a dream, and it came true,” showing us that hope and persistence can really make a difference. One student was amazed, saying, “30 times,” in awe that Dr. King went to jail 30 times for standing up for his dream of equality.

His courage and determination inspire us to keep dreaming of a world where kindness, fairness, and justice guide every action. Martin Luther King Jr. showed us that one person’s dream can spark change for the whole world and it starts with each of us.
